Resin Art introduces The First Zero VOC, 100 Percent Mercury-Free Flexible Moulding

Under the brand name of Duraflex®, ResinArt has successfully introduced the first, Zero VOC, 100 percent Mercury-free flexible moulding product to meet the growing demand for greener building products.  According to Tom Trombatore, “as the marketplace has become more educated, we have been seeing increased interest by architects, builders, and homeowners for a more environmentally sustainable flexible trim.”  DuraFlex has now been specifically formulated to reduce potential environmental and health hazards created throughout its life-cycle from eliminating styrene emissions during the manufacturing process to eliminating harmful VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) once installed inside the building.  In addition, Duraflex’s advanced polymer technology allows oil and water-based stains to be used without blotching or spotting.  “Unlike traditional wood trim, Duraflex’s flexibility and superior longevity is insect-proof, moisture-proof, and can withstand extreme heat and cold without warping, cracking or deteriorating” added Mr. Trombatore.

Resin Art, which first introduced flexible trim into the building industry in 1967, is now the world’s largest manufacturer in the world of urethane flexible moulding.  The product, available in four to twenty foot lengths, is ideal for half-round, elliptical and bowed windows, arches and arcs, radial drywall corners, curved stairways, round columns and trim ceiling domes and other applications.  For additional information, like how Duraflex qualifies for LEED points, please visit the ResinArt website at www.resinart.com or contact directly at 800 497 4376.
